Got Rocky 8 USB Boot working<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally figured it out, able to kickstart and boot off of a USB and install Rocky 8 Linux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The magic was not in the grub or isoconfig file but in the kickstart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I had to specify a HD install and a repo location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unfortunately I have to only copy that works building a box as I post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I should make a backup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another important note is that I been having problems with RAM on my Linux box. I should do a RAM check, maybe a simple reseat of the RAM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I discovered this by doing sha256sums against the Rocky ISO. Every time I did it a got a different value, even if I did the same file back to back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
