{"id":1676,"date":"2011-11-29T18:28:28","date_gmt":"2011-11-30T01:28:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?p=1676"},"modified":"2011-11-29T18:28:28","modified_gmt":"2011-11-30T01:28:28","slug":"1676","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?p=1676","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Posted this on another blog&#8230; worth repeating here. \u00a0I did hit gym today.<\/p>\n<p>This Sunday Nov 27, 2011, I participated in the Seattle Half Marathon. \u00a0One word describes my experience&#8230; NASTY.<\/p>\n<p>The conditions were tough, it was cold, wet, and a little windy.<\/p>\n<p>The 1\/2 marathon started at 7:30 AM and at that time it was still fairly dark.<\/p>\n<p>The course itself was hilly, mile 7 to mile 11 was brutal, I felt all I did was run uphill.<\/p>\n<p>This is a three days after Thanksgiving and two days after Black Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Not many friends and relatives would come out to support you in this kind of weather.<\/p>\n<p>I did poorly, barely beating the 3 hour mark. \u00a0I usually have something left in the tank where I can sprint for the finish line cameras&#8230; I had NOTHING&#8230; after my left foot which had my timing chip passed the finish line sensor, I stopped, and bent over hand on my knees.<\/p>\n<p>If this was a test, my grade would have been a D-, barely passing. \u00a0This course was a bully and I got beat up. \u00a0I was Rocky against Clubber Lang (interesting that was Rocky 3 and this is my 3rd half marathon).<\/p>\n<p>My body is still in pain, but my will is renewed. \u00a0I really want another shot at this course, this time I will not take it for granted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Posted this on another blog&#8230; worth repeating here. \u00a0I did hit gym today.
