Chow King opened up last week after Seafood city, but there were stories that the lines were extremely long, 1\u00a0 or 2 hour waits before you can even order and another hour before you got your food.\u00a0 So I passed on the initial week.<\/p>\n

But I did go last night, my wife ordered the food, I let her decide, she knows what I like (or at least what I will tolerate).\u00a0 She went into line while the kids and I found a spot to sit at.<\/p>\n
<\/a>Fried Chicken and Soup<\/p><\/div>\n
The chicken was OK (Churches and Popeye’s is better), but we all agreed we liked the soup.<\/p>\n
<\/a>Pancit and Chicken<\/p><\/div>\n
I think the Pancit and this other chicken we had could have been better, this came home with is, wonder if its going to get eaten.<\/p>\n
<\/a>Shrimp Balls <\/p><\/div>\n
There were shrimp and squid ball orders, but I could not tell which was which.\u00a0 I think we got two orders of squid balls.<\/p>\n
<\/a>Palabok<\/p><\/div>\n
I had the Palabok (noodles in sauce).\u00a0\u00a0 I don’t like the thin style of noodles, its just my preference.\u00a0 Still tasted kind of bland.<\/p>\n
<\/a>Halo Halo<\/p><\/div>\n
I finished it off with a Halo Halo (mixed fruit\/mil cocktail), its weird, mine was the larger one, but I think the smaller one tasted better, either that or I dunno how to mix the Halo Halo.<\/p>\n
Overall, I hate to say it but I give my experience a grade of C.\u00a0 But I need to be honest.\u00a0 I truly hope things improve there, AB said they were unprepared for the crush and quality control may be an issue.\u00a0 I hope that is true because I do hope to see more of these places open up.<\/p>\n
When I am in the Philippines I do prefer Jollibee over Chow king though.<\/p>\n
My Workout<\/strong><\/p>\n Ran a 4 plus today, kind of disappointed with my time, I started off pretty good this time, but couple red lights and some tourists stopping for directions (still glad to help) me ruined my time.\u00a0 But even with those delays, my time was OK, also for a summer day it should not be raining, but it was.<\/p>\n Time: 46:38<\/p>\n Also weight is OK considering I went to Chow King last night<\/p>\n Weight: 246.2<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Went to Chow King last night at Westfield Southcenter Mall in Tukwila Washington.
