{"id":2225,"date":"2012-06-09T14:25:01","date_gmt":"2012-06-09T21:25:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?p=2225"},"modified":"2012-06-09T14:25:01","modified_gmt":"2012-06-09T21:25:01","slug":"why-i-run","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?p=2225","title":{"rendered":"Why I Run"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many don&#8217;t understand why people run, its boring.<\/p>\n<p>Today I started my Lake Washington run, I was determined to finish under 1 hour 20 minutes. \u00a0If I did not, I was gonna do a Thursday punishment run of Lake Wa (another shot at cracking 1:20)<\/p>\n<p>Well, I started my run off OK, pace was decent. \u00a0Hit the halfway mark at 38:09<\/p>\n<p>That pace put me at a better than 11 minute mile. \u00a0What killed me in the past was my injury and endurance, the second half was usually the bad half. \u00a0But I did well, best time this year<\/p>\n<p>Time: 1:17:54.<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t think I could crack 1:19 let alone 1:18.<\/p>\n<p>What made today unique was that I did feel much pain in my injury, mind \u00a0you it was still there. \u00a0Also, I had a lot left in the tank after the run, I could have done 10 miles.<\/p>\n<p>But what was awesome was it was one of those days I started off with a decent pace, but my head was again questioning why I do this. \u00a0The payoff magic was in the end, when I was done, I felt GREAT!!! \u00a0Not hurt, not tired, little thirsty, but Whoa<\/p>\n<p>BRING ON RnR 2012<\/p>\n<p>Imagine what times I could have if I was under 250.<\/p>\n<p>Weight: 260.4<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many don&#8217;t understand why people run, its boring.
