<\/a>Seafair 2012 Finish Line<\/p><\/div>\n
Kinda bummed, but I got other things going on.<\/p>\n
Anyway, I probably could have done better, results are not yet in (as of this post) but I will post it up tomorrow.<\/p>\n
This day totally\u00a0exemplifies\u00a0my crazy week. \u00a0For one thing I was double-booked, had a party and this race exactly at the same time.<\/p>\n
I dropped off my wife and kids at the party and rushed off to this event. \u00a0I was maybe 15 minutes late when they closed the viaduct.\u00a0This but some stress on me that I was not going to make it.<\/p>\n
I went through town and was finally able to get to the Waterfront. \u00a0I finally parked at about \u00a06PM and my run started from there, luckily it was a only little more than half a mile to the start point. \u00a0I got there at 6:15 (I probably could have made better time)<\/p>\n
The race started and I felt pretty good, I made it, energy was up.<\/p>\n
The end of the route is up a street called Broad. \u00a0Most people walk up it, but the song Fighter from Gym Class Heroes started to play and I got a boost. \u00a0That hill let me leave others that I was following behind.<\/p>\n
So I think I actually had a decent amount left in the tank.<\/p>\n
It was just a 5k for me, so when I found out my niece ran the 8k version, I felt like I was cheating and took a shortcut. \u00a0Maybe next year I will do the 8k.<\/p>\n
Anyway, looking forward to the break, next race Seahawk 12k, 2013.<\/p>\n
