I went to Fry’s hoping to pick up a 4 core Athlon II, I did, got the last X4 640, I think I will have to order the next two because Fry’s may not have something compatible.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Rarely does one need a 4 core CPU.\u00a0 But I have been playing with ffmpeg and found a need for some serious CPU cycles.\u00a0 I can’t afford a new Mobo with a Core i7, but I did have a spare Mobo with everything BUT the CPU and CPU Fan.<\/p>\n
Anwyay as I post I am compiling FFMPEG on it, hoping something that took half an hour will take less than 20 minutes.<\/p>\n
Family visited me at work today, went home with them before I could hit the gym.<\/p>\n
