{"id":4805,"date":"2014-12-31T20:59:50","date_gmt":"2015-01-01T03:59:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?p=4805"},"modified":"2014-12-31T20:59:50","modified_gmt":"2015-01-01T03:59:50","slug":"lukewarm-end-of-year-finale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?p=4805","title":{"rendered":"Lukewarm End of Year Finale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I can&#8217;t really classify that the year ended off with a wimper, but for the most part it did. \u00a0What disqualifies it was the huge server problems I had today.<\/p>\n<p>My main ESXi server kept crashing, I tried reseating the RAM but my Ultimate Boot CD still failed on memory checks. \u00a0Finally tried reseating the CPU and while I was at it, I added some thermal compound and that seemed to do the trick.<\/p>\n<p>What made this adventure exciting was it coincided with a failed hard drive in another ESXi host.<\/p>\n<p>I was able to back up the data but not the host. \u00a0Will take another stab at VM recovery tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>At work it was super quiet, we all had a little get together, but for the most part it was dead. \u00a0I had a few things on my list to do.<\/p>\n<p>When I got home I did run (yay) finished off the year right, just 1\/2 a lap and it was a tough half. \u00a0But I got it done.<\/p>\n<p>I also posted my goals for 2015, almost a mirror of 2014 and 2013. \u00a0Honestly, I did not do much reflection on what needed to be done. \u00a0So it may be bad that I have no real direction for next year. \u00a0We will see though, I will revisit this list after January.<\/p>\n<p>Now to enjoy the New Year&#8217;s Celebration!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I can&#8217;t really classify that the year ended off with a wimper, but for the most part it did. \u00a0What disqualifies it was the huge server problems I had today.
