{"id":549,"date":"2010-12-02T21:26:00","date_gmt":"2010-12-03T04:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?p=549"},"modified":"2010-12-02T21:26:00","modified_gmt":"2010-12-03T04:26:00","slug":"self-evaluation-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?p=549","title":{"rendered":"Self Evaluation Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Part of My &#8220;Preseason&#8221; is to evaluate where I am at, Tuesday tested out my upper body strength, technically it does not count, so next Tuesday I will try again.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday I was too busy to hit the gym but I did hit the gym today and attempted a 1000 calorie workout.<\/p>\n<p>Wow, what a struggle, I felt like my chest was going to explode, it took me 40 minutes on the treadmill at 5MPH to burn 685 calories (there was an additional 5 minute cooldown) and 25 minutes (which included a 2 minute cooldown) that I burned 345 Calories on the elliptical.<\/p>\n<p>I started cramping towards the end of the elliptical workout so I knew I was closing in on my limits, but I was able to burn more than 1000 calories.\u00a0 It did take 1 hour and 10 minutes to get there.\u00a0 So here is my first goal (albiet unofficial), is to do 1000 calorie workouts with in an hour.<\/p>\n<p>That will require me to up the speed and increase incline for the treadmill as well as increase the RPM and difficulty level on the elliptical.<\/p>\n<p>I also continue to recruit people to run the 1\/2 marathon.\u00a0 It is almost time.<\/p>\n<p>As for my weight&#8230; I do hope I can keep it under 260, but I just checked last year and I ended it at 248.4.\u00a0 I probably will not match that this year, but it should not deter me&#8230; in fact it should inspire and challenge me.<\/p>\n<p>And that is a good sign.<\/p>\n<p>Weight: 259.2<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Part of My &#8220;Preseason&#8221; is to evaluate where I am at, Tuesday tested out my upper body strength, technically it does not count, so next Tuesday I will try again.
