So my oldest son learned a great lesson today, a final one from his time in High School Cross Country.<\/p>\n
He was tasked with putting together a video, it was due today at 5:30PM when the final event for cross country, the Banquet was held.<\/p>\n
Last night at 11:30PM it looked like he wanted to come up with an excuse to not do it. \u00a0I pushed him to finish, we were done at 3:30AM<\/p>\n
I told him this is probably not the last time he will have to stay up late to finish something, but a cool thing happened at the banquet. \u00a0The video wasn’t that bad, and he was happy he finished. \u00a0The moral of the story, hard work does pay off. \u00a0And thus the final lesson from cross country.<\/p>\n
On a related note, I had an extremely tough time getting the video editing software to work. \u00a0I was surprised at how easily my son figured it out, so I could have probably pointed him to a more robust video editing software rather than a simple one but rather delicate.<\/p>\n
I did not really sleep last night, I spent most of the time after words trying to render the movie. \u00a0I finally got a good copy at 7:30AM<\/p>\n
After such a sleepless night, I am \u00a0amazed at how I was still able to function, I got a lot done today.<\/p>\n
Anyway, I am still on light workout, just did some easy pushups and situps. \u00a0Will resume a normal workout Tuesday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
