{"id":6159,"date":"2016-07-02T23:19:14","date_gmt":"2016-07-03T06:19:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?p=6159"},"modified":"2016-07-02T23:19:14","modified_gmt":"2016-07-03T06:19:14","slug":"testing-commute-to-uw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?p=6159","title":{"rendered":"Testing Commute To UW"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My son and I took public transportation to see how long it would take to get to UW from our house.<\/p>\n<p>It took two hours, but there was a bus unavailable during the weekends which would have sped things up.<\/p>\n<p>Another consideration was cost,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>first bus was 2.50<\/li>\n<li>second was 2.75<\/li>\n<li>light rail round trip was 6.50<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So a round trip would have cost $18.00 per day.<\/p>\n<p>A monthly pass though would have been $117 per month<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=6160\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6160\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6160\" src=\"http:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/OrcaRegionPass.jpg\" alt=\"OrcaRegionPass\" width=\"364\" height=\"452\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/OrcaRegionPass.jpg 364w, https:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/OrcaRegionPass-242x300.jpg 242w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 364px) 100vw, 364px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pricey, but better.<\/p>\n<p>Then I found out students pay for a Husky pass and it costs $80 per quarter and includes unlimited rides.<\/p>\n<p>Now that is a deal.<\/p>\n<p>On another note, I was up late and made the mistake of posting a response to an Amazon review. \u00a0 I know better than to post when I am tired. \u00a0I should have just let it go.<\/p>\n<p>It was in regards to a bad review on an IoT device that lets you turn on and off an appliance.<\/p>\n<p>I went off on how stuff already talks on the Internet, but I did not mention that I agreed with the original poster.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, trying to get a my office cleaned and a new system built.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My son and I took public transportation to see how long it would take to get to UW from our house.
