Awesome but kind of embarrassing lesson today.<\/p>\n
We went to Birch Bay to go clamming and picnic and learned a pretty darn good lesson, plan a clamming tri.<\/p>\n
First off time,<\/p>\n
This is more of a general thing, but plan time accordingly, the night prior we were kind of rushing, and we did not really get everything we needed.<\/p>\n
Second, Permit<\/p>\n
Figure out and get the permit. \u00a0This chewed up so much of the first item, TIME. \u00a0Kids needed a whole slew of information.<\/p>\n
Third Red Tide<\/p>\n
I didn’t check if there was red tide. \u00a0Apparently there was, and we shouldn’t of been out there.<\/p>\n
So there we were at Birch Bay the only ones clamming, and that should have been a huge clue.<\/p>\n
At least the secondary goal, a picnic, was achieved. \u00a0It made up for the day.<\/p>\n
One final thing, check list.<\/p>\n
Should have a general checklist when we go on a road trip, one of the things broken was VPN access, which would have made the Permit process easier.<\/p>\n
