{"id":7346,"date":"2017-11-01T23:15:34","date_gmt":"2017-11-02T06:15:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?p=7346"},"modified":"2017-11-01T23:17:04","modified_gmt":"2017-11-02T06:17:04","slug":"preparing-for-next-gen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?p=7346","title":{"rendered":"Preparing for Next Gen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I mentioned yesterday about moving on to the from on premise SBS to cloud based Office 365, I think it is more then that, I think I am preparing for the next generation network.<\/p>\n<p>Last time this happened was when I went from physical to virtual.<\/p>\n<p>Last year Jan 2016, I started to move to the cloud some of my secondary systems, moving my mail server is huge.\u00a0 I am looking at the host it running on and wondering to myself if I can consolidate more.<\/p>\n<p>So in 2018 here are some initial goals for the network<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Office 365 business<\/li>\n<li>New File Server and Backup Server<\/li>\n<li>New Certificate Authority CA2030<\/li>\n<li>Windows 2016 Server (for 2 domain controllers)<\/li>\n<li>DR plan (this is actually in the works now)<\/li>\n<li>Simplify critical network components<\/li>\n<li>Educate kids<\/li>\n<li>CentOS 7<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We&#8217;ll see, some loft goals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I mentioned yesterday about moving on to the from on premise SBS to cloud based Office 365, I think it is more then that, I think I am preparing for the next generation network.
