One of the problems I get when I test a new camera is setting it up.<\/p>\n

Trying to figure out the IP(sometimes is it not in the DHCP logs), changing it, then figuring out what the rtsp settings are.<\/p>\n

But today I came across a free new tool on sourceforge called ONVIF device manager.<\/p>\n

https:\/\/sourceforge.net\/projects\/onvifdm\/?source=typ_redirect<\/a><\/p>\n

Works great at detecting the device and letting you configure it and giving you a sample rtsp URL to try.<\/p>\n

On another note, I am starting to touch some CPU bottlenecks in zoneminder especially when the montage is running in HD color.<\/p>\n

Looking at a 6 core X5660 Xeon<\/p>\n

That will bump me up not only from a total of 8 cores to 12, but will got from 2.13Ghz to 2.80 Ghz<\/p>\n

Interesting that it was cheaper to do Amazon same day, than buying at Frys.\u00a0 Got two of them at nearly what it would cost for 1 at Frys.<\/p>\n
