{"id":803,"date":"2011-02-12T19:47:12","date_gmt":"2011-02-13T02:47:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?p=803"},"modified":"2011-02-12T19:47:12","modified_gmt":"2011-02-13T02:47:12","slug":"how-bad-a-setback","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.apolonio.com\/blog\/?p=803","title":{"rendered":"How bad a setback"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I have been using Saturdays as a gauge to my training progress.<\/p>\n<p>The last Saturday I ran a four plus my time was 54:58, of course that following Wednesday before surgery I cracked 50 minutes.\u00a0 Today, not great but not bad<\/p>\n<p>Time: 52:32<\/p>\n<p>I think I could have cracked 50 minutes today but I did eat before my run (albeit several hours) but what was worse was the wind.\u00a0 There were certainly parts of my run that I was going against some pretty good headwind.\u00a0 I did want to push it but I started coughing up blood, I wasn&#8217;t sure if it was my tooth or lungs&#8230; either way it was a sign to slow down.<\/p>\n<p>Although I was impressed with my weight two days ago, I am pretty disappointed with it today.\u00a0 I think it is not so\u00a0 bad if I did not eat prior to running, but I did.\u00a0 With February being a short month, it will be difficult for me to reach 250 before the end of the month.\u00a0 The math says I have 15 days, if I did not lose a week, I would have made it.\u00a0 I have two more Saturdays to try and make it to 250.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t push myself for another week per Doctors orders, the coughing up of blood (was actually spitting up blood) kind of confirmed it.<\/p>\n<p>Bottom line, this wasn&#8217;t too bad for my run time, but for my weight, it was bad.<\/p>\n<p>Weight: 257.2<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So I have been using Saturdays as a gauge to my training progress.
