My buddy Rob helped me (ok he did all the work) today with my Odyssey mini-van.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brakes were kind of slipping at slow speeds. I diagnosed it correctly as a warped brake rotors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can’t tell in this pic, but they are warped, ever so slightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We rotated the tire while it was up and the rotors seem to catch the brake pad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is the new one being installed<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a little issue with the screws, but it was OK once installed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The van brakes much smoother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On another note, we looked at the tires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rob taught me of the new way to check if the tire needs to be replaced. If that line there matches the thread, it is time to replace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We got quite a bit of life left in the wheels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is just the front though, rear looks like it may need to be replaced sooner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But based on the wear, I should not have to worry about brakes or tires for at least 2 or 3 more years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The battery is next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another thing I did was purchase a purpose built device that reboots my cable modem when it looses connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It cost about $70.00 I was wondering if the cheaper plugs that go around $20 can be modified to do what I need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I purchased a pair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will do a detailed review in a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
