I have been trying to backup my FreeNAS server for most of the day, the first big problem was the USB was not mounting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I finally figured it out, simply reset it and started fresh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But after a few hours it went offline and failed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I really think USB drives aren’t meant for freenas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am going to opt with mounting them encrypted on a Linux box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another problem I am having is the long long transfer time over luks encrypted drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At least a solved another problem, I was able to share out a samba mount so my Camera can write images to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All a pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I did go out and pick up my new contacts and glasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I did not know it but I dropped a box on the way to the car, luckily I found it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
