I been burning a lot of hours at work, but today I kind of felt blindsided by a test at work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the upper managers decided to test on call response, felt like it was targeting me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anyway, was caught in traffic when it came in, so I responded late. Don’t like these games, no consideration is being made that my team is on call 17 times a year vs other teams that are on call less then half that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I agree that it is part of the job and maybe it is time to move, not out of the company but maybe to a different department, one that is bigger and not on call. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
