After tomorrow workday I will have 3 days of cleaning the house.

The deal is I can get the new 3D printer but I need to throw out stuff.

Furthermore, I want to set up a maker location. Still in the works though.

Am I In A Rut

Not sure if I am, or just need a break. I only want to be home and not go out.

Today I was supposed to go to work this morning, but after a few meeting I decided to go at night after traffic.

I am so lazy (maybe tired) I didn’t even want to get my stuff at the Amazon Lockers.

Maybe burned out.

Maker Year

Looks like this year I will be getting more into the makerspace. Ordered a newer 3D printer that can do multi color. I think I am ready.

Next thing is to be able to modify my own drawings.

I am intentionally taking a break, I am cleaning up the house and getting some stuff done.

Rough Day

New meds keeping me awake, not getting any sleep.

Today I went to bed at 5AM and still woke up in time for work.

I think the deep sleep I had over the weekend helps.

My KVM failed again, I reflashed it again. I wonder if the arduino work is sending some stray signals to the KVM.

I did move my main PC to another port that is not a management port for the KVM.

Projects Near Term

The dev version of my message box is done.

You know what, they work.!!!

I am actually putting together a production 3rd one. Realistically, this may be Gen 4 plus version. The 3D printer is printing a test model I am looking at for the Gen4 message box.

Couple new things looking at, a new 3D printer, I think I have outgrown what I got.

Also doing affiliate links for side income.

Final note, we put away Christmas decorations this year. Snowman is left because we want to repair the lights.

That is the next project, probably before gen 4 message box.

Ultimate Rest!!

Man I rested long time today. Went to bed at 2:30AM and woke up at 1PM. Incredible sleep.

Didn’t have much time to do workout today, but I got time to work on some financial stuff with my sister and some 3D printing stuff with my son.

I think I got the final cover plate for my project dev box.

I wanted to finish it but Amazon did not deliver what I needed. A step drill bit to make a hole in my project.

Strings in C are horid

Playing around with strings in C is painful.

Am rusty, been doing Python for a while now and it is getting confusing.

The physical part of dev phase of my project is nearly done. What that means is that I have a platform to run code that will translate correctly to when it is physically changed.

OK Need a Break

After yesterday, I admit my body hurts. I need time to heal.

Sounds like an excuse, maybe it is, but I am sore.

As for my projects, I got a lot of stuff going, I tried to use a screw on one of the standoffs and it broke. I tested it again on another one I had, it too broke. I came to the conclusion you have to go all the way through to the front to mount these.

Another thing I did was patch my Linux boxes, and one of the patches broke my UniFi controller. I thought it was a corrupt database, it ended up being an incompatible java.

Oh My Legs

Did 30 minutes on the elliptical machine today, haven’t done something like that for a while, certainly used a new set of muscles.

Good news is I am almost final with my dev prototype. More pics tomorrow, it is still printing the bottom. Also need a few more screws that I do not have.

2025 Moving Along

Year is moving along, yesterday was Three Kings and a time we take down decorations. Most of the decorations are down, just the gutters.

I did get my steps in for the first time this year, 10k steps and 10 floors.

Furthermore my message box project is moving along quite nicely. Note that this is the development prototype. Tried black filament on this one.

Printing the bottom part overnight. Will get a stable box tomorrow.
