Big news of the day, our current president Joe Biden has dropped out of the presidential running. Gonna be an interesting final few months in the presidential race.
Got my first swim of the week, so tired, probably not swimming tomorrow.

This is not an annual thing but we did it three times (second time in Sequim)
We left our home at 7:30 and returned about 5:30, a huge chunk of time was travel.
But 7:30 departure time was right.
One HUGE issue for my future self, use the bathroom before you cross the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.
Another thing to note is to make sure I have an updated epipen. Lots of bee’s.
So first stop was the bathroom, right outside of sequim.
Then we went to the festival itself, bought some souvenirs. (sorry no pictures)
Afterwards went to get gas at the Costco, drove right in quickly. But on way out visited on of the few Radio Shacks left (not a corporate one). Saw some arduino kits.
Then before leaving the area for home, we went to the farm where we got our last lavender plant. Looks like they are closing. We will see if we can make the new white lavender we got from them this year work.
Unfortunately looks like they are going out of business. The people in there look older and looks like the are ready to retire. The for sale sign was up and noticed it as we drove off maybe for the last time.

So there was some update for EDR software from a company called crowdstrike that messed with a bunch of Windows machines. This took down a lot of machines in the world. There are reports that this is one of the biggest outages in the history.
I was not too affected, #1 At work we dont use this software, #2 I am a Linux guy,

Luckily I have contingency. Started up my VM backup and we are OK for now.

Although my personal challenge was for 3 weeks, I completed the 4th week today of 3 swims.
Takes a huge amount of time in my day. My schedule is gonna give in.
I can relax the rest of the week though, just steps. Seems easy to achieve now.
Sunset is supposed to be at 8:59 today. Bummer. But I did get most of my steps done. According to my watch I have 81 steps left.

Got so much to do
Got my steps done and a weird swim, but haven’t eaten dinner yet.
Speaking of swim, was cluster today, people didn’t know pool etiquette.

Got parts I needed to upgrade my frigate box to a larger more powerful box. I do not think the IO is cutting it.
If I get the same results I will move back to the 1L box and convert this one to a Zoneminder box.
I know I need to slow down on spending but this is Amazon Prime day.
On the flipside with AWS, I have cleaned up a lot of wasted resources. I am exclusively rocky 9 now.
Got steps done and floors but not feeling the weight loss.

Got my drives for my new OS project.
This is version alpha, only USB2 so we will see how it goes.
Super tired though cannot to much.

I am functionally done. I do have a test box(which will not be upgraded), my Zoneminder NVR(which will be replaced not upgraded), and a bench (for older compatibility)
But all my production stuff is done.

Had a group meetup up at a coworkers home.
Brought lumpia, wife cooked it was awesome.
Hung out by the lake, clear weather, sun, water shade and a breeze.
Oh and food.
And no tech.

Made my goal of swimming 3 weeks, 3x per week, for 30 minutes. It feels good, the feeling after each swim is one of chlorine, ok accomplishment.
Another thing is I got the 4th and final AWS instance built. Ready for cloud to go live.
Need to rest though, kind of burned out, where I am slacking is at work. It is too much.
There is the 10,000 steps, 10 floors, finishing the book.
Tested new KVM, it works.
