We made it out again in 2024 but it was not as fun. It was raining and my oldest son had to work.

We followed the same tips from last year (although we got gas same day). We left at 8:30AM, ETA was 10AM but we got Mcdonald’s breakfast.
We did go to Strita (so glad we happen to have cash) and Seattle Premium outlet.
Got my steps done before 8:30
On a side note, Linuxfest Northwest was this weekend.

And with it the last child doing school athletics.
There is All City and League Meet, two races my son is guaranteed to participate in, and more than likely districts.
After that, is State and not likely.
Just need to wait for grandkids.

Three nights of wearing the splint, this morning it felt really good, no pain.
I walked this afternoon, it was amazing. Recall yesterday I finished my steps early so I got my steps done early.
Walked late today, had more than 24 hours of rest from walking and wearing the splint last night helped.
What a wonderful feeling.

Today we found my son is running the 3200 this weekend but he is in the fast heat. There is a second slower heat but his ranking puts him in the faster heat. Unfortunately he is ranked last in his heat.
So the lesson is, do you want to be the fastest in a slower heat, or the slowest in the faster heat.
Part of growing up, part of being challenged.

My foot has been aching a lot, pretty sure it is plantar fascitis. So I am trying a new splint to keep my foot from loosening up too much at night.

It worked, woke up and my foot was not bad as before.
Going to try again tonight.
My son did incredible in the 800M dash, he was ahead by 4 people but at 200M left he hit the turbos and placed 3rd, amazing run.

Not crazy, got work done, had good sleep (although I got up later than I wanted to), did my work.
Also got steps done early, as of my post, I have 9889 steps, it is very unlikely I will not make my steps.
Nice day too, sunny, not hot. Was a good day for a walk.
Got a new brace for nighttime for my foot, hoping it will help with my plantar.

Although I rested a lot, but have not healed right.
My left heel hurts, seems like rest and massages help.

Needed it, slept a long time today. I think I went to bed at 2:30AM and got up at 11AM
Ate lunch did a bit of youtube, basically a needed unproductive day.
Almost done with my steps though, got 1000 more.

Watched my son run a meet, still cracked 11 minutes, I blame the pollen.

Day started hot, we were cooked by the sun, then got cool and window, sucked when it started to rain.
I did my walk at home with some drops hitting me.
All done though.
