Butterfly Effect

Amazing how one thing leads to another and a cascading domino effect.

I was hoping to post today how fun it was to meet my coworkers on our annual Coulon (or where ever) meeting. It was fun no doubt.

Or how I am going through my documentation on building a guacamole box. That is going well, can’t seem to get RDP to work for Linux though.

Instead I am posting how a misplaced shampoo lead to a locked car.

So I went swimming today, and as I was showering after my swim, I noticed my shampoo was gone. So that is the genesis of all this, I lost shampoo bottle. Not a big deal, it was used, not a full loss, nor was it expensive, $7.16. I took some time to ask lost and found, then I ended up ordering a new bottle in the parking lot so I could get one before my Friday swim.

I then go to order food. This slight delay made me late in getting to the restaurant. It closed at 8:30 and I was there at 8:47, so I grab my duffle bag and threw it in the back of my car so it wouldn’t be exposed. This was effect #2, late for restaurant.

But my car keys was in my duffle bag and it (the car assumed I had it on my person) so it locked the car with my keys in it. Funny how that all led to getting locked out of my car.

At least I discovered the batteries in the spare were dead, so new ones were put in them. At least next time our car keys will be fully functional. Luckily there was a backup physical key that pops out I could use.

At least the swim got me closer the the weight I was expecting.

Weight: 342.0
