Aaaaaahhhh Relax Time

I am not on call, I have 4 days straight off, and on top of that, I get to work from home all next week because of the tasks that I got scheduled for allow me to.

I got some time to think, maybe even pig out, yes pig out.

This you could say is my Fat Tuesday (the whole week).

During these 4 days I am going to plan out 2010.  Of course a lot of those plans include training and seeing what it would take to reach those goals.

Here are some tentative goals regarding training:

  • Let us start off with weight, I hope to crack 230 before the Rock N Roll run and stay under 230 (maybe even crack 220) before end of year.
  • Running, I would like to run a 5k in under 25 minutes and the 1/2 marathon in under 2hrs (although 2:15 is more realistic)
  • Strength, bench my weight, squat 225, curl the 45lb dumbbells, and do unassisted dips.
  • Size, fit 38 comfortably or dare a shoot for a 36?
  • Bring cholesterol down

Anyway just a few to get started.

I calculated what it would take to lose 35 lbs in 25 weeks.  I would need to burn in access of 122500 calories over what I consume.  That’s 4900 calories a week or 700 calories a day.  My BMR is about 2250, so if I drop to a 2000 calorie diet, I get 250 calories.  In addition to that, I would have to burn another 450 calories.  That is about a 2 mile run everyday.

I would also like to note my niece has signed up for the 1/2 marathon as well.  I got someone to join me.

I know my weight is high but I need to say that this is right after dinner so it is not under the normal weighing conditions.
