Red Tide

Awesome but kind of embarrassing lesson today.

We went to Birch Bay to go clamming and picnic and learned a pretty darn good lesson, plan a clamming tri.

First off time,

This is more of a general thing, but plan time accordingly, the night prior we were kind of rushing, and we did not really get everything we needed.

Second, Permit

Figure out and get the permit.  This chewed up so much of the first item, TIME.  Kids needed a whole slew of information.

Third Red Tide

I didn’t check if there was red tide.  Apparently there was, and we shouldn’t of been out there.

So there we were at Birch Bay the only ones clamming, and that should have been a huge clue.

At least the secondary goal, a picnic, was achieved.  It made up for the day.

One final thing, check list.

Should have a general checklist when we go on a road trip, one of the things broken was VPN access, which would have made the Permit process easier.
