Been struggling with zoneminder on my phone, I had a hard time getting feeds on it.
Looks like it had to do with google chrome, not sure what I did right, i think an update.
But it works now.
Just in case I installed firefox on my phone, unfortunately it only works when I VPN in, and that had its own issue with expired certs.
Finally, I visited a local security shop, the guy seemed a little put off with my questions, but in the end he said if I knew what was going on with his security system, I would not buy it. With that honesty and the fact that he gave me some good info regarding outdoor PIR (and avoiding false positives) I won’t call his company out here. It still had something ok to offer.
One issue I had was he was not willing to answer if his systems were remotely encrypted.
Another more minor issue was that they were offering 433mhz and 315mhz devices. But I think as secondary monitoring they are OK.
