PI Trip 2019 Summary Part 3

Trip started to wind down but there was a few things we wanted to do.

Went to some hilltop with an awesome view

Religiously themed, God seems to make some beautiful things at times.

Was able to squeeze in a trip to a Spa. My wife, daughters, a friend and I went. First thing was a foot massage (I think that is what it was) where we were in what looked to be a theater. We watched what I think was a pirated movie of the Quiet Place.

When the movie was done, we had a table scrub, that was an interesting experience. Sand all over he place, hmm and getting touched in some interesting places as well. All is good, wife was couple tables next to me.

We then rinsed off and got a massage. All together I had 4 massages, 1 at the mall, another at the resort, this spa place, and another one at the mall but seemed niced.

One thing I should note, not sure if it was me and my bad back, but I feared slipping throughout the trip, whether it was on stairs, shower, street, the resort or in the Spa.

My back certainly hurt the fun of the trip.

But after the massage I got a facial, my first.

It was glorious, but hurt. Kids said look like I took a photo with a filter.

When converted to USD, 5 of us cost about $200 USD. Really cheap.

Monday we had one last trip to the mall and we packed

The trip home was long and even though that last leg was about an hour shorter, it did seem harder one me.

One problem was that our flight was delayed taking off, so we were late to Inchon. Luckily a lot of us were headed to Seattle, so they just delayed the Seattle Flight.

Another thing I want to note is that we got up at 3AM for a 4AM bus trip to Manila, ended up being way to to early, we should have stopped somewhere for breakfast cause we were a little hungry.

In the end, it was a good trip. I want to go back again, admittedly not as aggressive as in the past, but I do want to go back.

Next time,

  • Plan the San Esteban Trip better
  • Bring a better working scale
  • Be healthier
  • More Spa

Hopefully my next trip will not be 10 years from now.

As for today, I upgraded my main DC to a physical box, and went from 2008 to 2016 server.

It went too smooth, wonder what I broke.
