I decided to take advantage of the Black Friday deals early and found a replacement for my home monitoring server.
Not a laptop, but a Small Form Factor PC. It is the HP 260-P026 based on a I3 processor.
It cost me 69.00 (there was some sort of discount) and I purchased a spare 240GB SSD to go with it.
It only has 4GB of RAM but I think that should be enough.
I worry about the SSD and wear leveling though.
I am installing CentOS 7 as I post.
