Trip Recap

Got back from our weekend getaway, was pretty fun. Won enough in the Casinos to cover the expenses.

It was great sleeping in and not having to wake up and pack yesterday, today went through the exercise. Got up early, about 9AM packed and was ready to leave, and in tradition we played a few rounds at the slots before leaving. Although we were about even by the time we played, we won enough to cover expenses of our hotel.

We went to Seattle Premium Outlet and was able to get my steps up to 9000. Historical note, a lap around the Seattle Premium Outlet is pretty close to 1500 steps, so we were really close.

But no floors, struggled through those at home.

Party Hard

Wow so glad we did not have to check out this morning, slept till 2PM.

Great sleep, getaway did what it is supposed to, let me recharge.

As I post got my stairs and steps done.

Back to having more fun.

No scale though.

NVME Upgrade

Finally did this, my 1TB 970EVO NVME drive was filling up, I purchased a 2 TB one to upgrade. I purchased this over a year ago (Nov of 2022) and finally got around to it.

What this does is puts me in a position to also upgrade to Windows 11.

Going on a quick weekend getaway. Not too far.

Goals for Summer

Probably not going to meet my weight goals before end of month, was hoping to crack 340, got close though.

But I did meet this weeks 3 swim sessions. Two more weeks to go.

Been tired a lot lately. Maybe sleeping early today.

Maybe New Frigate Server

The IOwait on my frigate server is crazy

I posted this on reddit and someone suggested I set sync_recordings to false. I think that may have helped somewhat in that the values are now at sane levels. It still pops up there though.

Maybe moot, I don’t know yet, still designing zoneminder. Going to add this in to it

It is a dual TPU for inference. Paired with a larger faster 3.5″ CMR drive, in a bigger box with faster CPU and more cores. It may help.

So close to touching sub 340.

Wearing Down

The swim yesterday wore me down. Still keeping up though, feeling strong. I think I needed to step it up a bit anyway and get myself tired.

Going to see where this takes me for the next 3 weeks. If I crack 340 and stay there gonna do another 4 weeks.

I wonder if I have it in me to crack 300 by end of year.

On the book front, slowly getting there. Thinking of getting 3 types, prime server, server, MATE workstation.

Two Graduates

Recall last week my son graduated from High School, he graduated again with an Associates in Arts and Science today. In addition, my daughter got her bachelors degree too.

Good day, not as emotional as last week, but it was good. All kids have some sort of degree, and just need my son to get a bachelors. I consider that done by then.

Sore from Swim

I think the change of routine helped, getting into the pool yesterday certainly was a big departure from my normal schedule.

Today I volunteered at parkrun because I was hurting a lot. Body aching.

Got my steps done late, so tired.

Swimming Again

Wow, went for a swim with my new headphones. They work!!!

Set a playlist for 30 minutes and just swam.

I think I can make this work. If I do 3 days a week, I think I can get the weight down.
