Just got 2 days of a three day weekend out of the way, I am happy that I also got Monday off.

But I am having a problem with MATE and guacamole, and my research points to it being a MATE issue.

I been so tired today, napped couple of times.
I did get a lot done, figured a way to reimage the nodes on the lab.
Create a new guacamole server, also set up my wife’s new Google Pixel.

Getting good with ansible. But finding I need to get an LDAP server outside my the secure area of my network.
For others that connect to the lab.
Now I need to figure out how to authenticate with guacamole.

Had a long day of work last night, ending at 3AM, but I got a lot of stuff done.
At home, ansible is doing me right.
My son is ready to start XC, 1 more week till his first meet.

This evening I decided to rebuild/reconstitute the lab.
Now that I retired an ESXi host, I think I got space to continue with the lab.
Got all these little things to set up.
Patching, nagios, guacamole, proxies etc.

Still feeling sluggish but had a normal work day, just powered through.
I miscounted my VM counts, there was a dupe, but also wondered why a VM I had was still needed, I just decommed it.
So back down to 10 VMs.
Also digging back into ansible to manage stuff again.

The past two nights tracks with my difficulty breathing. Took a sick day today.
On the Linux front, I figured out how to install guacamole on Rocky 9.

What a disaster last night.
I was cleaning up some stuff and I had a VM that was also acting as a datastore.
So when these go down, it causes havok.
So last night I had to reboot an ESXi host, unfortunately it I could not log in, only as root.
In the end I was up till 4AM fixing the problem or at least trying to. Do some weird stuff like removing from the domain via CLI because it was not work.
In the end it ended up being time was off with the DC. So future note, make sure time matches.
Unfortunately found a bunch more VMs that may be needed to be monitored and converted, at least two C7 boxes boxes bring the count up to 13, but one of those boxes will definitely NOT be upgraded so it is actually 12.
