Looks like the home server kickstart profile is good. Tested it in USB BIOS and PXE boot, now will test USB UEFI. Looks like it is booting OK. Now at least I have a common starting point.

Took a little bit of time out today to map a plan to get this USB boot drive going. Finally got something going. Going to test the kickstart via PXE and move things over to the USB and test.

I really like the Cinnamon desktop that is on the EPEL repos for CentOS. Nice eye candy but it is a beast to run. I ran system monitor and CPU spiked to 80%. If you give it enough horsepower it … Continue reading →

Decided to stop getting branding working on USB drive and go with what I got so far. No am focusing on builds and going through testing. Can’t believe how much I have to do so far. Haven’t even started documentation.
