Troubleshooting Home Stuff

Spent a nice chunk of the day troubleshooting stuff.

First off was the install of the new Home Assistant on a Raspberry Pi 4.

Had to revisit building one of my cluster nodes. To be fair that was more a process than troubleshooting.

For my future self searching homeassistant, I used a supervisor install on a raspberry pi os.

Then there was some weirdness with my 433Mhz network, I was blaming it a bit on the Lutron, but may not be it. I placed the transmitter close to a receiver and it broke through and worked.

Next was work, cant come much here, but troubleshooted a bad certificate.

Then the contractor had issues with the wiring in our home to get more of the Lutron in.

After that I tried to get the Lutron motion sensor working.

Add to that a python script I had running for notifications, seems like python2 is what my script wants and I wanted to go python3.

Finally tried to configure the zwave hat and conbee zigbee usb device. It may be right, just no devices to test with.
