Looking at reducing my power usage, especially my servers.
Unfortunately a server I rely on a lot consumes 200watts. That server costs me over $200 per year.
My desktop with its new RTX3080 consumes 200 watts, but that can be alleviated by turning it off. Also looking at building a small low power, but fast desktop,
I think I can consolidate two ESXi hosts (so I will be down to 2 production ESXi hosts) and two file servers. Maybe even get rid of a backup server. That would remove 300 watts maybe more savings $300 per year. Of course the cost of adding a new ESXi host which will take 200 watts.
Another thing is turning off the labs.
