This was fun (NOT!). I am going on a trip tomorrow and yesterday I had the bright idea of patching some critical systems.
Samba broke, so I was not able to access files, also kind of broke was authentication.
Then my zoneminder broke too.
Both related to upgrade. I knew to run zmupgrade.pl after the patching but looks like I needed to run zmupgrade.pl -f as well.
Samba was more interesting, apparently creds and usernames are stored in multiple places, sssd, nscd, tbd, winbind/idmap.
Figured it out. On top of that I broke wifi trying to update firmware.
Need to go to bed now, got an early flight tomorrow.
