Ah, to finish.
I was gonna post this yesterday after the race but was too tired right afterwards and we went out that evening.
My time was not that great, but I feel a lot better with the results of this race than with the Seattle Marathon I did in November 2011.
I was running hurt this time around, also my breathing problems hampered my running. But the same issue with cramping still hit me during the race. I started cramping at about mile 8, and that is about the time when my speed dropped significantly.
The course was tougher, but there dropoff between last year and this year was significant.
The downtown start in Seattle did add some uncertainty for me, also not researching or tracing the course effected my pace, I seemed to sandbag and not push because I did not know what to expect.
Crowds felt smaller this year as well, but that was more anecdotal
I did sign up for next year though, but for now, I am in Post Race mode, where I enjoy life, do some light workouts. Just did some pushups and situps today, probably the same tomorrow.
I will chill now.
