One Gym Day A Week Not Enough

I am trying to get back in the gym more regularly.

That is weird to say because I been pretty consistent with my personal trainer, and she pushes you.

But I am at a new chapter of workout.  I am going to spend the rest of this week in evaluation mode to see where my body is at.  Today was not a good day.

  • For one thing, I cramped up early on the bench press with a single 45lb plate on each side.
  • Next I struggled mightly for 12 minutes on the elliptical.
  • Finally, I had no mojo.  Didn’t feel like working out.

Still, I need to make myself understand that I am starting over again.

So this week is acquaintance week, just getting into the gym to do something.

Next week will be more of an evaluation week, where I start looking at metrics at where my body is at.

Hopefully in two weeks, I will be in startup mode with some reasonable rest of year goals.
