Its not what your body can do at 3 miles it what happens to your body at 10 miles that is a concern,
I did my confidence run to see where I am at to see if I will be able to finish the Rock and Roll half marathon. Numbers say yes. My body probably had enough in it to finish another 2 miles within the time limit, but I was certainly cramping.
I ran a hilly hot 11.15 mile route in 3:18 13 seconds.
Also note the following other info to take into consideration.
- There were lights and people pulling out of driveways that changed my pace.
- I ran out of water
- Bathroom break altered my time
- It was hot and I started late
- At the 3 hour mark I was at 10.18 miles, it flipped over to 10.19 though soon after 3:00 mark proabably at the 3:01 mark
- When I got home fitbit said I did 26194 steps went 34 floors, did 13.03 miles and burned 3036 calories.
- Weight prior to running 304.6, see below in usual spot to see what I weighed in at when done.
- I ran a four plus first my time was 1:09:08.
- Then I ran a 5k with a detour for a bathroom break, I cross the end of that at 2:12:29 so my time was 1:03:21
I was useless the rest of the day, but my wife massaged both my feet and a I felt soo much better. I think I will be recharged tomorrow after a decent night’s sleep.
Finally my weight… I know most of this is water, but it is nice seeing me under 300.
