With the price of a NodeMCU hitting about $10, I think I am going to use that as my device of choice when doing wifi projects.
I certainly will still use an Arduino, or an ESP8266, but the nodemcu is where its at.
I pulled the ESP8266 out of one of my units, I am going to try it with a node MCU now.
