ESP8266 Interesting EEPROM issue

Another meetup today, I started the discussion on the ESP8266 and saving WiFi settings, but before the meetup I though about how secure the ESP8266 EEPROM is.

I think if you save anything unencrypted on to the EEPROM, it will be readable by loading another sketch.

So I may be doing it wrong.  There may be a way to write to the Wifi settings of eeprom.
