I mentioned yesterday about moving on to the from on premise SBS to cloud based Office 365, I think it is more then that, I think I am preparing for the next generation network.
Last time this happened was when I went from physical to virtual.
Last year Jan 2016, I started to move to the cloud some of my secondary systems, moving my mail server is huge. I am looking at the host it running on and wondering to myself if I can consolidate more.
So in 2018 here are some initial goals for the network
- Office 365 business
- New File Server and Backup Server
- New Certificate Authority CA2030
- Windows 2016 Server (for 2 domain controllers)
- DR plan (this is actually in the works now)
- Simplify critical network components
- Educate kids
- CentOS 7
We’ll see, some loft goals.
