Finally went live with FreeNAS. I got snapshots working and an rsync to another server.
The shadow copy of Freenas was interesting.
Not only did I have to get snapshots working at the dataset level, but I need to present it in samba as well.
Then you have to enable it in the share.
You may have to log off and reestablish network samba connections after this is done.
