Got a new HP server setup and coming online.
Its actually a workstation class machine, but will be using it as a server.
Got it on sale for 20% off so this one cost me about 160+tax
Did not come with hard drive but it did come with 8GB of ECC ram meeting the minimum requirements for a FreeNAS server (note that I am actually installing CentOS 7 on this). I did add some RAM from an older server that I am decommissioning to bring it up to 32GB.
Internally there was space and SATA ports for 6 drives
Although not really needed it did have a QUADRO video card.
This box should last me the 5 years I have reserved for it.
On a side note, rain hit hard here today. Some of it leaked in to the garage.
