Spent couple hours trying to ctach up with my rack, unfortunately it was a late build.
Went to RePc to show the manager there and found out he was out. Also found out they are short on 1L servers.
Anyway got home late too. Late post. Also late weight recording, I weighed in an put it on the board but not put it into my database.

Filament got stuck in the extruder, had problems getting the filament out of it.
Took a while but I finally got the stuck filament out.
Needless to say, I am not gonna be able to bring a demo set to repc tomorrow.
I did swim today, felt great.

I did an analysis today on how much it costs to build the rack , the screws are significant in the price because the plastic material was so cheap.

But you can’t just look at the price, you need to look at the print time, I takes over 24 hours to print all this.
I did officially make my fitbit goals before I post today.
Finally cracked 335 lbs, there is a chance I will crack 330 by end of August and likely before summer officially ends.

Sink broke today, didn’t feel like fixing it myself and thought about hiring someone to do it. Instead, I did look at it and was able to figure out what to do. Was messing, and I burned about 3 hours, but it got fixed.
Also put together another rack, and they do stack
Today was pretty busy at work, but I need some sleep. Going to bed before midnight. Did swim pretty well today, I am tired.

I am terribly uncomfortable because it is hot. In fact there is a heat advisory in the area. With that said, it is a good day to print. The heat will help with adhesion.
So my prints have been good.
Today I got some miscellaneous length 6mm screws. As I build out my rack I need to identify the best screws and nuts to use.
I been switching to printing mounts and accessories using PLA. But the main structure of the rack will still be PETG.

All related to the 3d Printed 10″ rack. I got it kinda put together with some of the older bad printed parts.
I am going through reprinting the top and base (it is actually done but wanted sevral copies)
But I am blasting through the printer right now. It is cranking away.
I got a new fresh plate and the difference is huge.

Tried to enhance the image to show what is going on.
But the topper and base are taking about 4 to 7 hours. But they do look good. A fresh clean plate plus using gloves to handle the plate helps. Going to see if cleaning the old plate helps too.
So I have abandoned Gen1, Gen2 is where I am going, making it look nice too.
One thing I think helps, is the hot weather. So now is a good time to print.
But I been cooking myself and miserable.
On the health front, swam today and felt really good, faster than normal.
I think there is a chance I will be under 335 before end of month

AS of my post I have 3 of the 4 columns, the cross brace and topper.
Unfortunately the cross brace and topper look horrible. I am going to try a new plate when I print those because I want it clean.
Speaking of printing I noticed air quality drops when printing, voc (Volatile Organic Compound) is a real issue.
Ordered a fresh charcoal filter, hoping it will help.

Finally got it done, the first one, functional, but meh
No where near as nice as the prebuilt, also not sure on the BOM, purchased screws today that were crazy expensive from McClendon Hardware, cheaper at Lowes, even cheaper at Amazon.
Anyway gonna spend time tomorrow on a better version. Printer gonna be busy again.
Third day in a row for fitbit goals (I count Thu even though the numbers didnt show it)

Yesterday I marked my fitbit goals as complete, I wasn’t paying attention and as midnight rolled along I realized I was 45 steps short of 10k. I was pretty sad about it. So today in addition to my swim, I did the fitbit goals again.
Statistically, it is a rounding error, but the number still say I missed, today I made it up.
With this weighin I am within 10 lbs of beating this years current number.

Feeling good today, got a lot of work done and my brain is functioning great.

Even steps felt easy today and not a struggle. Posting at 8:49 and got about 600 left. I will make it.
