Had another power outage, and I am in of a couple things that made this power outage frustrating.
First off, I am in between firewall moves, so my firewall was virtualized and not set to auto start.
Another frustrating thing was that I was close to finishing a hard drive burn in.
Was a short weekend for me so having my day interrupted to do the generator was… actually that was kind of fun.
Mental note, dont forget to choke the generator before trying to power it on, and if you flood it, wait. Not sure of this is true for a propane tank but it did work.
Also it was too dark to make it worthwhile to set up the solar panels.
Finally there was a road blockage that directed traffic closer to my home.
Another thing was that one of the battery banks was not charged. That was frustrating.
One silver lining was my wife and I did not want to stay home in the dark so we went to the casino buffet at Snoqualmie. Got a free coupon. Funny thing was that the zepbound did beat my urge to eat.
It is a good thing.
