Evaluating my progress

Today I looked at where I am at with my training for the Rock and Roll Half Marathon.

I still don’t feel like my head is in it, but after today’s workout I don’t think I am as bad as I thought I was.

I ran 4 miles on the treadmill in decent time, the main run got me over 5.5MPH average.  Add that 4 miles to 1 on Monday and 1 yesterday and I am at 6 for the week.  If I run 3 tomorrow and 4 Friday and Lake WA Saturday I STILL make my 20 miles.

I spoke to fellow gym member Matt and this step back may not be bad at all.  It was about overwhelming your nervous system, I think I may have done that.  Also I may be peaking at the right time, I have 4 Saturdays before Rock and Roll, take one away because it is the Saturday before the Race and I got 3, if I can do Lake Wa 7 mile this weekend and 10 each the next two after that (and a four plus the Sat before RnR) then I think I am good physically.

So bottom line, I am not that bad off.
