I had to repost this in my blog
- It seems like a really nice post
- Quite a bit of work nice to have it
Closing in on RnR 2012, I hope that those who aren't running canĀ be there to cheer us on. As much as this is a physical challenge, a lot of it is mental too. Three weeks ago I started on my Lake Washington run and stop and actually quit 15 minutes into my run. I questioned myself and thought why the heck am I doing this. I think if Jackie or any of you were there I would have kept going. On my first RnR I recall what an incredible boost it was to hear you, then last year actually having a bunch of you run with me, and I had my best run yet. I also recall Seattle Half, in addition to being not at a level I could be at physically, I was totally not mentally there. I felt so alone and did terrible. So I totally appreciate the cheering you all have done, it does absolutely help. Due to the route change this year, Jackie and my kids can be there at the beginning and end instead of a 10 sec passby. Hope more of you can be there, we can also enjoy Gym Class Heroes at the end.
Ran a four plus today, decent time, not a record, I had trouble breathing 2/3 the way through so it was almost a record.
Time: 48:38
16 more miles to log, need to get 9 in 2 days or if not, I staring at a 10 mile run Saturday.
Maybe 2 outside if it does not rain and 3 on the treadmill.
Will see.
